Logic Pro 8

One word, drooling...Logic is sick! If it's good enough for Trent and NIN it's got to be pretty sweet. I just watched the video about how they use Main Stage live to tweak settings. As well it gives you the ability to edit on the fly. It is an incredible piece of software. Even better it's now $599 instead of $1,200! This and my MacBook Pro and I can take my Studio with me. Brilliant! Bravo Apple! What's Microsoft got on that? Nothing!

Micron Synth

I recently was able to get my new Micron synth from Alesis. I thought it would be a step down from the Ion, but I was wrong. After waiting 9 months for the Ion to start being produced (The Official word from Guitar Center was some parts are made overseas, being the Ion is very popular they halted production for a bit). It has the same synthesis engine as it's big brother. It's got a ton of built in presets and it completely programmable to my needs. I primarily play guitar but was in need of a multipurpose instrument for composing and scoring for film, video, commercials. It has an excellent vocoder as well ways to tweak the LFO's. I could not ask for a better investment to my DAW. The FM synthesis is fabulous! It's a digital synth that sounds like an analog one! It's very intuitive to use. The main thing I loved was the fact it's very portable and easy to record with. I use a tube pre-amp and compressor into the Mac. I very much do no like PC's. To see what I do for my day job go here: Hunter Media Productions. To learn more about me and what I do go here: Hunter Media. For my compositions and most recently recorded music go here: Mommy Complex.
