Just when Microsoft thought they could get a hold on the PC market Google announced it's
Chrome OS (* "an open source, lightweight operating system targeted at netbooks!") The timing could not be any bettter. Microsoft acknowledges no one really likes
Vista, and thought because of this that they would sell lots of "netbooks". I do not know about you, but a
new computer with
10 year old operating system, Windows XP. Working as a Microsoft contractor, I can assure you yes
last year people bought alot of them at the Circuit City I worked at, because they told me flat out,
"I hate Vista! It does not work and I like XP better!!" I am totally holding out
for
Apple's 9" iPod Touch. It will be the first tablet Mac made & designed by Apple
other then the (really "old school)
Newton many moons ago.. You can get the
ModBook Steve Wozniak worked on it's a damn sweet toy. It has a built in
Wacom tablet! Crazy! I may never leave the house again! This and
Photoshop CS IV, and I am in for the Summer! The thing is, Google has the software finesse to come up with a stable OS, in addition to the small footprint
Chrome browser. It works great and is superfast. What has Microsoft got on that? Nothing. Well they do have the new version of
Windows Mobile 6.5.
